India beats Hong Kong China by 137 runs, Team India achieves second consecutive big win in Womens Asia Cup 2026

Womens Asia Cup 2026: In the 7th match of Womens Asia Cup 2026, the Indian team has defeated Hong Kong China by a huge margin of 137 runs. Batting first, Team India scored 193 runs on the basis of Smriti Mandhana's century. In reply, Indian bowlers restricted Hong Kong China to just 56 runs in 16.2 overs. Nandini Sharma, Deepti Sharma, Shri Charani and Pratika Rawal bowled lethally for India. This is the second consecutive victory of the Indian team under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur in this tournament. Earlier, Team India had defeated Thailand in its first match.

Hong Kong China team all out for just 56 runs against India

Hong Kong China's batting, which came to chase the big target of 194 runs given by India, collapsed like a pack of cards in front of the Indian bowling. His entire team was all out for just 56 runs in 16.2 overs. Apart from captain Natasha Miles (15 runs) and Marina Lamplow (14 runs), no batsman from the team could even touch double figures. Main batsman like Mariko Hill could not even open her account. Hong Kong China's performance in this match was very disappointing and one-sided.

Batting first after losing the toss against Hong Kong China, Team India scored 193 runs for 5 wickets. Opener Shafali Verma also made a fast start and was out after scoring 28 runs in 17 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. After her, Pratika Rawal, who came to bat, could not support Mandhana for long and returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs in 12 balls. Wicketkeeper batsman Richa Ghosh also contributed 11 runs with the help of 1 four in 13 balls, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur was out on a personal score of 10 runs with 1 four in 9 balls. For India, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored a brilliant century. He played a stormy inning of 124 runs in just 64 balls, which included 14 fours and 7 sixes. For his brilliant performance he was given the Player of the Match award.

Marina Lamplow was the most successful in bowling for Hong Kong China, who performed brilliantly and took 2 wickets. Apart from this, Ruchita Venkatesh gave the first big blow to India and managed to take 1 wicket by dismissing the dangerous looking opener Shafali Verma. Joyleen Kaur also took one wicket.
