US President Trump warns of major attack on Iran
Earlier on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if Tehran continued the attacks, America could take further military action and even impose a naval blockade. He said that talks regarding Iran’s nuclear program no longer seem very useful to him. However, he indicated that his officials could continue talks.

Trump said these things during his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and later with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the NATO conference in Ankara. He accused Iran of violating the temporary ceasefire given by America.
‘Iran fired rockets at ships, so we gave a strong response’
The US President said, ‘They had told us not to target us during the funeral. I had said that I would not do this. We didn’t do that. Rather we made the situation safe for them. After this Iran started attacks again. They started firing rockets at the ships yesterday. So we gave them a very strong answer. I would say it was 20 times more powerful attack. I have told them that whenever you attack, we will respond.
‘It is possible that we may give them a strong reply again tonight’
When asked whether this meant starting a large-scale war again, Trump did not give a clear answer. However, he said that further attacks may occur. He said, ‘It is possible that we may give them a strong reply again tonight. I will also give them a little warning.
Instructions to US Army to increase the scope of action against Iran
Trump said that he has instructed the US military to increase the scope of action against Iran. He said, ‘I have told the army not to target the pipeline, but to target all other targets on Kharg island.’ Kharg Island is Iran’s largest oil export hub.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that the US military targeted Iranian military bases that were posing a threat to merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
