Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai has dropped out of this year’s list of the world’s 10 best airports, based on 661,000 reader votes in the American magazine Travel + Leisure.
Last year it ranked 9th on the list with a reader score of 84.23 out of 100.
Singapore Changi claimed the top spot this year after losing the title to Turkey’s Istanbul who secured the third place this year.
Hamad International Airport in Qatar ranked second.
Zayed International Airport in UAE ranked fourth and Dubai International Airport rounded out the top five.
The rest of the top 10 were Hong Kong International Airport (China), Incheon International Airport (South Korea), Haneda Tokyo Airport (Japan), Shanghai Pudong International Airport (China) and Adelaide Airport (Australia).

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is the main international gateway serving Mumbai, the capital of India’s Maharashtra state.
It is one of two airports serving the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, alongside Navi Mumbai International Airport.
Ranked as India’s second-busiest airport after Delhi by both total and international passenger traffic, it was also the 14th busiest airport in Asia and the 28th busiest in the world by passenger traffic in 2025, according to data from British aviation firm OAG.
