New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described India's 7.8 percent economic growth rate as a matter of happiness and pride for the country. He attributed this achievement to the hard work, collective strength and strong determination of the countrymen. PM Modi posted on the social media platform Instagram and said that this economic progress of India is very important amidst the current global circumstances.
The Prime Minister said that many parts of the world are currently going through conflict and crisis. News of war is coming out from different regions and many challenges remain at the global level. Due to these circumstances the supply chain has also been affected. He said that after Covid-19, stability has not been completely established at the global level, yet India is progressing rapidly.
Called 7.8% growth rate a matter of happiness and pride.
PM Modi said that India's 7.8 percent growth rate is a matter of pride for the country. Praising the hard work and determination of the countrymen, he said that this performance of the Indian economy shows the potential of the country amidst the ongoing challenges in the world.
He said that despite circumstances like war, global crisis and disruption in supply chain, India has maintained the pace of development. The Prime Minister called upon the countrymen to maintain this pace and accelerate the pace of development further.
Targeted at opposition also
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also targeted the opposition in his message. He said that some people within the country are working to spread despair. PM Modi said that leaving behind all these challenges, India has achieved an economic growth rate of 7.8 percent.
He said that now the need is to maintain this momentum and take India further. For this, the Prime Minister described self-reliant India as important.
Appeal to take forward 'Vocal for Local'
PM Modi appealed to the countrymen to give priority to indigenous products and strengthen the mantra of 'Vocal for Local'. He talked about avoiding tendencies like getting married in foreign countries.
The Prime Minister also said that one should avoid buying gold if not required. His emphasis was on the fact that the more the country moves towards indigenous and self-reliance, the stronger will be its economy and strength.
Emphasis on the resolve of 'developed India'
The Prime Minister said that he is confident that by the completion of 100 years of independence, the country will be successful in handing over a developed India to its young generation. He called upon the countrymen to contribute with full force in this journey of development.
PM Modi said that the country's policies are in the right direction and the intentions of the government are clear. He described the collective power of 140 crore countrymen as the biggest force that can take India to new heights and appealed to everyone to contribute in fulfilling the pledge of development.
