New Delhi: A tragic aircraft accident in North Wales has claimed the lives of an Indian-origin couple after their light aircraft crashed in a remote area, authorities confirmed.
The victims were identified as Ketan Swali and his wife Sheetal Swali. Ketan is believed to have been piloting the Piper PA-28 aircraft when it crashed.
The couple had taken off from Tatenhill Airport in the West Midlands and were traveling towards Caernarfon Airport in northwest Wales. However, the aircraft failed to arrive at its scheduled destination on Friday, prompting authorities to launch a major search operation involving ground teams and aircraft.
Emergency responders later located the crashed aircraft in a remote area, where both occupants were found dead.

Helicopter Crashes in Remote Area of Northern Kenya
In a separate aviation accident, a helicopter crashed in a remote mountainous area of northern Kenya on Wednesday morning, according to reports.
The helicopter went down in the rugged terrain of the Mount Ololokwe hills. Seven people, including six passengers and a pilot, were reportedly on board.
Authorities have not yet released information about the identities or condition of those onboard.
