Racist Comments on Indian Doctor: Indian-origin doctor Karishma Reddy in America is in the news after facing racist comments on social media for wearing a bindi. She had earlier shared a light-hearted video on Instagram, in which she recounted a conversation she had with a patient regarding her bindi. But after this video, many objectionable and anti-India comments started coming in his comment section.

Indian doctor trolled for wearing bindi in America
In the video, Dr Karishma Reddy said that for the first time in her life she had seen so many anti-India comments. He told that due to working in the field of health care, he had never experienced anything like this. In the video, he also expressed his views regarding Hindu culture and respect for cows. He said that many people do not understand why the cow is respected in the Hindu community.
According to him, in olden times when many women died during childbirth, cow’s milk became the life support for newborn children. For this reason a feeling of respect for the cow developed. He appealed to the people to get the right information instead of rumors and misconceptions and be kind to each other.

This video has been shared on Instagram with the handle @kreddyplastics and has been viewed more than 2 lakh times. A large number of people supported the doctor on the viral video. One user wrote, “Thank you for explaining such a beautiful and simple way of respecting cows.” Another said, “Unhappy people hurt others, responding to hatred with peace is the greatest strength.”
Another person, who identified himself as the doctor’s patient, wrote, “Doctor Reddy changed my life, I have only respect for him.” Many people on social media described this video as a positive message of tolerance, culture and mutual respect.
