New Delhi. The Government of India has made a big announcement in the world of technology. Three new indigenous AI models have been launched. Their names are EKA-1, Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B. The IT Ministry has introduced three new AI models in collaboration with IndiaAI Mission. These tools have been developed in the country itself, with focus on Indian languages and Indian business. In such a situation, dependence on foreign AI models will be reduced.
These three models were introduced during an event organized in New Delhi. IT Ministry Secretary S. Government officials including Krishnan have said that these tools can be used in government offices, research centers and schools etc.
Also, two out of three models are such that they can be used on the device even without internet. Let us know about the three models one by one.
Features of EKA-1
EKA-1 is the largest model of the three AI tools. It has been prepared by Bengaluru based startup Soket Labs. It is a powerful, open and sparse hybrid language model, which has been designed to handle difficult tasks.
The EKA-1 model will actually be able to answer difficult questions like advanced maths, software programs, reasoning etc. It will also be able to work as an AI agent and will be able to complete many tasks. The capabilities of EKA-1 can be estimated from the fact that it is based on 26.3 billion parameters. It is trained with massive data of 7.5 trillion text tokens.
Regarding EKA-1, let us tell you that it can easily understand all the scheduled languages of India along with English. Considering its capabilities, Socket Labs has specially designed it for sectors like banking, financial services and cyber security.
Features of Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B
Before starting to talk about the features of Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B, let us know that they are different in comparison to EKA-1. Both these models have been made for different needs. These have been prepared by ZenteiQ AiTech Innovation.
These two AI models will run without internet
The biggest feature of the launched Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B is that they can be operated even without internet. There is no need for any big cloud server for this. These can be downloaded and run directly on your phone or laptop.
