India’s voice rang in the world! ‘Operation Sindoor’ changed the picture, big explosion in defense sector

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Make in India’ mission is creating new records every day. India has now achieved such a historic achievement in the field of defense production, which has attracted the attention of the entire world. The country’s defense production has now crossed the Rs 1.78 lakh crore mark, which is a huge jump over the last 8-9 years. Giving information about this achievement on Saturday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that till a few years ago this figure was only around Rs 46,000 crore.

‘Operation Sindoor’ changed the picture

According to the Defense Minister, the world’s confidence in Indian defense equipment has increased rapidly after ‘Operation Sindoor’. When the Indian Army took this decisive military action after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in May 2025, the indigenous weapons and defense systems manufactured in India had proved its strength to the world. After the success of this operation, the demand for ‘Made in India’ defense platforms has increased manifold globally.

Record breaking jump in exports too

Along with defense production, India has also broken all the previous records in the matter of defense export. While India’s defense exports were merely Rs 686 crore in 2013-14, it has now increased 57 times to cross Rs 38,000 crore. The Defense Minister is confident that this figure will soon touch the magical figure of Rs 40,000 crore.

Defense Minister bluntly on AI

The Defense Minister also expressed his opinion on the increasing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the changing times. He cautioned that even though AI is adept at analyzing data, it cannot understand human emotions and pulse. Referring to AI in journalism and other sensitive areas, he clearly said that technology can definitely make news fast and accurate, but there is no substitute for human sensitivity and emotions to maintain credibility.
