Under these new charges charged by the airline, the prices of children's fees, additional baggage and priority services have been increased significantly. All these new charges will have to be paid by the passengers separately in addition to the basic ticket fare.
As per the latest amendments, IndiGo has increased the child fare on domestic flights from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. Additionally, if passengers travel with more luggage than the permitted limit, the excess luggage charge has now been reduced to Rs 800 per kg. The airline has also increased the fees for special facilities available to passengers such as priority check-in and priority boarding to Rs 650.
Due to the increase in these charges in addition to the fare, it is certain that there will be some additional burden on the pockets of passengers.
