Indonesia Mount Dukono Volcano Eruption: A big and worrying news has come out from North Maluku province of Indonesia. On Sunday, a massive explosion occurred in the famous Mount Dukono volcano located here.
‘Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation’ According to data released by the Indian Meteorological Department, after this eruption a huge plume of ash and smoke was seen up to about 5,000 meters above the peak of the volcano. This natural phenomenon has raised alarm bells not only for local residents but also for international aviation services.
Administration issued high alert
Situated at an altitude of 1,087 meters above sea level, this volcano is currently at its second highest level. In view of the volcano, Indonesian authorities have issued strict guidelines for locals and tourists visiting the area.
The administration has said that there has been a complete ban on any kind of activity or movement within a radius of four kilometers of the crater. Along with this, people have been advised to wear masks and stay indoors to avoid respiratory diseases caused by ash spread in the air.
didn’t explode the first time
Mount Dukon The activity has been quite deadly in recent times. Three people were tragically killed in an explosion earlier this month. However, the rescue team was successful in evacuating 15 people safely at that time. Which included seven citizens of Singapore and eight citizens of Indonesia. This rescue operation was quite challenging as the huge amount of deposited volcanic material and constant activity delayed the recovery of the bodies.
Indonesia The National Disaster Management Agency of India has expressed deep sorrow and concern that despite the complete closure of the trekking route since April 17, some people climbed there illegally. BNPB chief Abdul Muhari has warned that strict action can be taken under the law against trekking operators and individuals violating safety rules.

Given the current situation, ‘Volcano Observatory Notice for Aviation’ has issued an Orange level alert, the second highest level. Under this alert, planes have been given strict instructions not to fly within a radius of 5 kilometers in the affected area.
