Infosys has reported a 6% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹7,823 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2026–27. The Bengaluru-based IT services major also announced an interim dividend of ₹26 per equity share, offering shareholders a higher payout than the ₹23 declared during the corresponding period last year.
The results, announced on October 23, 2026, reflect continued growth in revenue even as the company faces a challenging global technology spending environment.
Revenue Rises 11% in the September Quarter
Infosys recorded revenue from operations of ₹49,244 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹44,490 crore in the year-ago quarterrepresenting an increase of approximately 11%.
The company attributed its business momentum partly to demand from energy and utilities clients and growing spending on artificial intelligence services. However, growth remained uneven across sectors, highlighting the challenges faced by IT services providers as customers manage technology budgets carefully.
Operating profit increased to ₹10,330 crore, while the operating margin stood at 21%, remaining broadly stable compared with the same period last year.
₹26 Interim Dividend for Shareholders
Infosys’ board declared an interim dividend of ₹26 per equity share, an increase of around 13% from the ₹23 paid in the previous year.
The company has fixed November 3, 2026, as the record date for determining eligible shareholders. The dividend payment is scheduled for November 11, 2026.
The announcement provides an additional return to investors while reflecting the company’s continued focus on shareholder distributions.
AI Business and Large Deals Support Growth
Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of Infosys’ business strategy. The company reported that AI-related revenue grew 29% sequentially during the quarter.
Infosys also secured large deals worth $5.2 billion in total contract value, with 62% of the value coming from net-new deals. These contracts could help support future revenue as enterprises invest in digital transformation, automation and AI-enabled services.
The company is working to strengthen its position as businesses move from experimenting with AI to deploying it at scale.
FY27 Revenue Guidance Reduced
Despite the increase in profit and revenue, Infosys lowered its revenue growth guidance for FY27 to 1–2% in constant-currency terms, compared with its earlier forecast of 1.5–3%.
The company cited a challenging demand environment for the revised outlook. It retained its operating margin guidance of 20–22%, indicating that cost management and operational efficiency remain important priorities.
The reduced guidance suggests that clients continue to exercise caution over technology spending, even as demand for selected AI and transformation projects expands.

The company declared an interim dividend of ₹26 per share, with November 3 as the record date.
