Innocent Hearts School, Noorpur successfully hosted the PSEB Zonal Handball Tournaments for girls and boys, with the school’s teams delivering impressive performances across various age categories.
The girls’ tournament was held on August 1, while the boys’ competition took place on August 3. The events witnessed participation from schools across the zone, providing young players an opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork and competitive spirit.
In the girls’ category, 10 teams from five schools participated, with around 100 students competing in the U-14, U-17 and U-19 categories. The host school secured third position in U-14, emerged champions in U-17 and finished second in U-19.
In the girls’ U-14 category, Government School Raipur Rasulpur secured first position, followed by Government School Suchi Pind at second place and Innocent Hearts School, Noorpur at third. In U-17, Innocent Hearts School won the title, while Government School Raipur Rasulpur and Saroop Public School, Jalandhar finished second and third respectively. In U-19, Government School Suchi Pind claimed the top spot, with Innocent Hearts School finishing runner-up.
The boys’ tournament saw participation from nine teams representing six schools, with nearly 90 students competing in three age groups. The Noorpur boys continued their strong performance by securing third position in U-14 and winning championship titles in both U-17 and U-19 categories.
Government School Raipur Rasulpur won the U-14 title, with Government School Suchi Pind finishing second and Innocent Hearts School, Noorpur securing third position. In U-17, Innocent Hearts School emerged champions, followed by Government School Raipur Rasulpur and Government School Naugaja. The Noorpur team also claimed the U-19 title, while Government School Suchi Pind and Hemkunt Public School, Jalandhar finished second and third respectively.
The successful conduct of the tournaments highlighted Innocent Hearts School’s commitment to promoting sports excellence and encouraging overall development among students.
The school management and Principal congratulated the winning teams, participants, coaches, officials and organising staff for their efforts and wished the teams success in the upcoming district-level competitions.
