After the uproar on social media, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a clarification saying that they have no role in it. This is a mistake made by Instagram.

What did the ministry say?

Ministry sources were quoted in media reports as saying that some social media handles have falsely claimed that some posts of LOP Rahul Gandhi were blocked by MeitY. It is clarified that MeitY had nothing to do with this action.

This video from the oath ceremony of Tamil Nadu CM @TVKVijayHQ earlier today has been blocked by @MetaMeta on both LoP @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia accounts.

The ministry said this was due to an error by the platform’s own internal systems, which had mistakenly flagged these posts for blocking. The ministry said that now these posts have been restored.
