A powerful company in the global social media space ‘Meta’ (Meta) No longer in the mood to limit our platforms to free services only. The company has officially announced the launch of new Paid Subscription Plans for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp users. Through these paid plans, users will get many special features, advanced tools and a premium experience. Interestingly, India is also included in the list of these paid plans. Therefore, there are indications that the method of using Meta’s apps will change completely in the coming time.

Meta launches new ‘Plus’ plans

Meta has introduced “Plus” subscription plans for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. According to the company, under these plans users will get some special features which are not available in the free version. Meta no longer wants to rely solely on advertising revenue, which is why the company has taken this big step towards a subscription model.

How much will these plans cost?

The pricing announced by the company for the international market is as follows:

• Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus: The price of these plans is 3.99 dollars which is about 387 rupees per month.
• WhatsApp Plus: The price of this plan will be 2.99 dollars which is about 290 rupees per month.

Note: Official local prices for India have not been announced as of now, but we expect these prices to be announced soon as per the Indian market.

Advanced Control in Instagram and Facebook

Users who take the ‘Plus’ subscription will get many additional options on Instagram and Facebook. Users can now see how many times their story has been re-watched by other users. Additionally, there is an option to create an ‘Unlimited Story Audience List’ and preview stories secretly without your name appearing in the other person’s ‘Viewers List’. Instagram Plus will have the ability to show stories for more than 24 hours, as well as ‘spotlight’ a story every week to reach more people.

Special emphasis on profile customization

Meta has also included several cosmetic upgrades in these plans. Instagram Plus users will get Animated Super Heart Reactions, custom app icons, special fonts for Bio and more posts to pin in profile. This allows users to make their profile more stylish.

These plans are different from ‘Meta Verified’!

The company has clarified that these new subscription plans will be completely different from the existing ‘Meta Verified’ plans. While ‘Meta Verified’ primarily offers identity verification (blue tick) and customer service, the new ‘Plus’ plans will focus on additional features and improved user experience.

Meta One plans for creators and business users

Meta has launched Meta One Essential and Meta One Advanced plans for AI users, content creators and business users.

• Meta One Essential: It costs around Rs 1,454 ($14.99) per month and offers the benefits of better profile promotion and verification.
• Meta One Advanced: This plan is specially designed for influencers and businesses. This will give users more reach on social media, Facebook feed and priority in search results, so that their business can expand.
