According to a report by Android Authority, Google is now developing a notification system that will notify users when an installed app is no longer available on the Google Play Store. Since these apps no longer receive official updates, they may become outdated and insecure over time.

References to this feature were found in version 51.4.19 of the Google Play Store. The code strings indicate that users may soon receive alerts informing them that some installed apps can no longer be updated through Google Play.

It is also expected that the system will intelligently adjust notifications if multiple deleted apps are detected on the device. While Google hasn’t officially announced the feature or revealed a timeline for its rollout, the move could become a significant addition to Android’s security ecosystem.
