Instagram is now introducing a new “Edit Story” feature, which will allow users to fix mistakes in the story without deleting the entire story. Whether it’s a typo, an incorrect caption, or a misplaced sticker—users will soon be able to edit their Stories directly after posting.

How will the Story Edit feature work?

Many social media users have already shared screenshots in which this new option is visible. According to reports, users will be able to open a menu by tapping on their Story, which will have an “Edit” button.

After selecting the Edit option, Instagram displays a warning message informing you that the original version of the Story will be deleted. Apart from this, all the likes, reactions and replies received on the original story can also be reset after editing.

As of now, Instagram has not clarified what things can be edited. It’s not yet confirmed which of the following things users will be able to change:
