Instead of the designated place, firecracker shops are being set up at Bateshwar's mill.

Sitarganj. In view of the festival of Diwali, the administration has started preparations for operating temporary shops for the sale of fireworks in the area. For this, three different places have been earmarked in Sitarganj, Shakti Farm and Nanakmatta. Sub-Collector Tushar Saini has issued an order in this regard and instructed the concerned officers to ensure necessary arrangements. Arrangements are being made by the administration to set up fireworks shops only at designated places and ensure that safety standards are followed. Despite this, a case has come to light of setting up firecracker shops without permission at Bateshwar Chakki, away from the designated site in Sitarganj.

It is being told that the place of mini stadium has been earmarked for fireworks shops in Sitarganj, but on the contrary, firecracker shops are being set up at Bateshwar's mill. There is resentment among firecracker traders also regarding this. Traders say that when the administration has designated the place for the sale of fireworks, then all shopkeepers should follow the same rules. No one should be allowed to deviate from the rules and set up shop.

Firecracker traders alleged that Bateshwar's mill is a populated area. There is also movement of people and vehicles here. In such a situation, sale of inflammable fireworks in a densely populated area can lead to a serious accident at any time. If firecrackers catch fire, there will be a risk of fire spreading to nearby houses and shops. Traders say that during Diwali, crowds gather to buy firecrackers. In such a situation, ignoring security can become a threat to people's life and property.

Traders raised questions from the administration and said that when there are instructions to set up shops after taking permission at one place, then how are the shops being operated at another place bypassing the rules. He demanded that the shops being set up at Bateshwar's mill should be investigated and if shops are being set up without permission, then immediate action should be taken.

Traders said the rules should be equal for everyone. The administration should ban the sale of fireworks at places other than the designated sites, so that the festival of Diwali can be celebrated in a safe environment. Now it remains to be seen what action the administration takes in this matter and for how long the shops being set up outside the designated places will be banned.
