The network of the much talked about and financial scams worth crores of rupees Mahadev Online Satta App (Mahadev Book Online Betting App) now seems to be under legal pressure even on the international borders. A sensational news has come to light regarding this illegal betting syndicate spread in the country and abroad, according to which the local law enforcement agencies have taken major action at various locations in Sri Lanka and arrested about 147 Indian youths under house arrest. The travel documents of all these youths have been seized and intensive interrogation is being done, although the top officials of Chhattisgarh Police have not yet officially confirmed this foreign action. Youth from Chhattisgarh and other states were given the promise of foreign jobs. According to primary investigation and media reports, most of these 147 youth detained in Sri Lanka are residents of Raipur, Durg, Bhilai and Rajnandgaon districts of Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, some youth are also said to be from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. These unemployed youth were sent to Sri Lanka with the lure of a legitimate job in a private company, an attractive salary of Rs 45,000 per month, free accommodation and food. The youth of these families, who were struggling with financial crunch, did not know for a long time that they were not running illegal online betting panels for any corporate company but Mahadev App. Mastermind Sikandar Prasad goes underground: The raid of Durg police fails. Sikandar Prasad is being said to be the main director and panel operator of this entire international episode. As soon as he got wind of this secret action of the Sri Lankan police, he immediately fled from there and first returned to Dubai and then quietly returned to India. When Indian intelligence agencies and local police got a clue about his presence in the fort, a special team raided his possible hideouts. The police team even reached the venue of his birthday celebration, but the vicious mastermind dodged at the last moment and went underground. Police officials say that the accused is being searched actively. The legal noose is also being tightened on Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. The grip of the investigating agencies on the original promoters of Mahadev Satta Network—Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal—is getting stronger. Key promoter Saurabh Chandrakar has recently been detained in Oman on the basis of a Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol, and Indian agencies are busy completing the paperwork for his extradition. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has so far attached and seized movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs 3,800 crore in this entire scam. Around 40 serious criminal cases related to this syndicate are registered in various police stations of Chhattisgarh, and the local police has so far sent more than 250 operatives behind bars.
