Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) have completely changed the equations of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 77 runs in Jaipur. Gujarat, which has registered its fourth consecutive win, has now become one of the strongest contenders for the playoffs. Gujarat captain Shubhman Gill batted brilliantly and scored 84 runs in just 44 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 3 long sixes. Gill batted at a strike rate of around 191 and completely pushed the Rajasthan bowlers on the backfoot. Thanks to his innings, Gujarat scored a big score and maintained control over the match from beginning to end.
Gujarat looked completely dominant over Rajasthan
After batting, Gujarat also performed well in bowling. The team maintained constant pressure on Rajasthan’s batsmen, due to which Rajasthan could never make a comeback in the match. Gujarat bowlers made the match one-sided by taking wickets at regular intervals.

Shubman Gill’s statement
Shubman Gill said after the match that Gujarat played an almost perfect match against Rajasthan. The team scored 10-15 runs more than expected and the bowlers completely controlled the match by taking wickets in the beginning. Gill said that it was not easy to hit big shots against the spinners, so the team adopted the strategy of saving wickets and batting till the end. On his injury, he said that he had twisted his ankle while running, but after some time the pain subsided.
