Whom did Akshar Patel hold responsible for the defeat?

In the interview after the match, Akshar Patel took the side of the bowlers and told that it was not their fault. He blamed the defeat on poor fielding. Let us tell you that in the match, Nitish Rana had dropped the catch of Abhishek Sharma and some mistakes were also made in the case of runout. Akshar said, ‘If someone bats so well, there is no mistake in planning. Performance like this (Abhishek Sharma’s century) should get credit. The way Heinrich Klaasen batted, it was not the fault of our bowlers.

Patel further said, ‘When someone bats like this, the captain and coach should accept that it is difficult to stop him. I was telling the bowlers that even if you bowl the ball in the right place, they will still hit the shot. Fielding is in your hands. Catch and runout are your only support. It is important to support the bowlers at that time. That’s why I think we needed to perform better.
