Then on April 7, the two countries agreed to stop fighting for two weeks. It was decided that the two sides would resolve the issue through discussion during this period. The two countries held a peace meeting in Islamabad on April 11. That meeting failed. Iran rejected it before the start of the second round of peace talks. They clarified that this meeting failed because of America.

After the second round of talks failed, Trump announced an indefinite ceasefire in the Iran-US war. At the same time, the US president is also interested in negotiating with Iran. According to White House sources, Vice President JD Vance will not be in the US delegation this time. The team will be led by Kushner and Wittkoff.
