Pakistan is not worthy of becoming a mediator, Iranian MP scolded Shahbaz-Munir, said – they are our neighbors but…

Ebrahim Rezaei on Pakistan Mediation: Ibrahim Rezai, a senior Iranian MP and spokesperson of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, has given a clear and strong statement regarding Pakistan’s role. He said that even though Pakistan is a friend and neighbor of Iran, it is not suitable to play the role of mediator in any international talks. According to him, Pakistan does not have the impartiality and credibility that is required for an arbitrator.

Rezai, while reacting on the social media platform X, alleged that Pakistan often talks keeping in mind the interests of America. He said that Pakistan never speaks openly against American policies. Giving an example, he said that America had earlier accepted a proposal from Pakistan, but later withdrew from it. Similarly, America had also made many promises regarding Lebanon and seized properties, which were not fulfilled.

Iran does not trust Pakistan

Rezai’s statement indicates that Iran does not trust Pakistan’s mediation, although it is not completely rejecting it. Along with this, Iran’s distrust of America is also clearly visible. Meanwhile, Iran seems to be moving towards strengthening its relations with European countries.

Araghchi spoke to the French Foreign Minister

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently spoke on phone with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot. The two leaders discussed the regional situation, the ceasefire and ongoing diplomatic efforts. Araghchi described the constructive role of European countries as important during this period, while France also reiterated its support for continuing the dialogue.

On the other hand, Araghchi also reached Pakistan as part of his regional visit, where he discussed bilateral relations and other issues with officials. According to reports, these talks have no connection with the nuclear issue. However, he did tell Pakistan what were Iran’s conditions for ending the war.
