Iran stops diplomacy with US: Iran has announced to stop talks with America. Iran has taken this decision in view of Israel’s continuous attacks on Lebanon. Iran says that Israel is continuously violating the ceasefire. According to the report of news agency Tasnim, Iran is keeping an eye on the continuous attacks and crimes being carried out by Israel in Lebanon. The report said that Israel has violated the agreement on all fronts including Lebanon. For this reason, the Iranian negotiating team has currently stopped the ongoing talks through mediators.

Huge jump in oil prices

This is being considered a major blow to the very sensitive ceasefire efforts between America and Iran. With this, the hopes of soon opening of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy routes, have also come to an end. After Tasneem’s report came out, oil prices have seen an increase of more than 5 percent.

Demand to stop attacks on Lebanon

Iran has long said that the ceasefire should apply not only to the US but also to the activities of its allies. According to Tasnim, there will be no new diplomatic negotiations until Iranian demands to halt Israeli military operations in Lebanon and Gaza are met.

The IRGC is now seen playing a more active role in the ceasefire talks. Tasnim indicated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is beginning to play a major role in Iran’s security and diplomatic strategy.
