Iran-US war: How heavy the war has cost America, Iran has caused loss of billions of dollars in Gulf countries
Iran-US War 2026: middle east It’s been two months since the ongoing war, but the war still doesn’t seem to be ending. The American President has warned Iran many times but Iran is not ready to bow down to America’s conditions. Even though Iran has lost many of its leaders and officers in this war, billions of dollars of damage has been caused to America’s military bases and properties in Iranian attacks.
According to a report by NBC News, the attacks on US military structures located in several countries in the Gulf region and the Middle East have caused extensive damage, the repair cost of which could reach approximately $5 billion. However, this does not include the cost of many important military equipment and weapon systems.
What all happened?
According to the report, the Iranian military’s attacks have caused serious damage to runways, state-of-the-art radar systems, dozens of aircraft, warehouses, command headquarters, aircraft hangars and satellite communication infrastructure. This destruction has spread to many countries in the Middle East, which has had a major impact on American military operations and logistics. It is estimated that the cost of repairs alone could run into billions of dollars.
Which American bases were targeted?
According to the report, Camp Buehring in Kuwait, Al Dhafra and Al Ruwais military bases in UAE have suffered heavy damage. Fuel storage, medical clinics, hangars, barracks and other buildings at these bases have been affected. Apart from this, American military assets have also been damaged at Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base, Jordan’s Muaffaq Salti Air Base and Kuwait’s Camp Arifjan and Shuaiba Port.
Quoting three officials, it has been said that the US Navy headquarters building in Bahrain and at least two air defense systems have also been damaged. According to an official, the renovation of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters alone could cost around $200 million.
Which military equipment was damaged?
The report also states that at least one fighter jet, a dozen MQ-9 Reaper drones, two MC-130 tankers, helicopters and an E-3 Sentry aircraft were also damaged. This loss can have a deep impact on American military capabilities and operational preparedness.
What is the Pentagon’s assessment?
According to preliminary estimates by the Pentagon, the war had already cost more than $11.3 billion in the first six days, not including repairs. In the first two days alone, approximately $5.6 billion was spent on ammunition. Meanwhile, the lack of information being given to the MPs has also increased the concern. One aide said “Nobody knows anything. And it’s not for lack of asking. We’ve been asking for weeks and we’re not getting any specifics, while the Pentagon is demanding record-high budgets.”
