Iran Warning: Iran warned, America will get a befitting reply if the ceasefire is broken, attacks took place in Kuwait and Bahrain also.

Tension between Iran and America has once again increased greatly. Iran has warned in clear words that if the ceasefire rules are broken again, it will give a very terrible and befitting reply. After the recent military attacks by America, Iran has now tightened its stance.

An agreement was signed between the two countries on 18 June 2026, which is called ‘Islamabad Understanding’. The purpose of this agreement was to stop fighting on all fronts. But on June 25, the US alleged that Iran attacked a cargo ship named M/V Ever Lovely in the Strait of Hormuz with a drone. In response, the US Army (CENTCOM) attacked Iran’s missile and drone storage sites on June 26.

Tension increased further when the US launched another attack on 27 June. America said that Iran had violated the ceasefire by attacking the oil tanker named M/T Kiku. Following the incident, Iran’s military spokesman Ibrahim al-Fiqar posted on social media platform X that the response to any new attack would be harsher and unprecedented than before. He said that breaking the ceasefire is a violation of Article 1 of the agreement and will stop all negotiations.

Attacks also took place in Kuwait and Bahrain

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for the US attacks. The IRGC has warned that if there are further violations of the rules, they will intensify their action. Also, he said that now only Iran will control the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Strong statements from Iranian officials

Many senior leaders of Iran have warned America:

  • Mohsen Rezaei: He said that America has broken Articles 1 and 5 of the agreement and its response will be very quick and strict.
  • Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: The parliament speaker said Iran wants to abide by the agreement, but any wrongdoing by Washington will be responded to with force.
  • Ebrahim Aziz: He accused America of recklessly ignoring the ceasefire rules.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has described the US attacks as a violation of international law. He said that the attacks carried out by them were in self-defense, which is justified under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. On the other hand, former US President Donald Trump has called these actions of Iran foolish.
