IRCTC’s new website launched, now train tickets will be booked in minutes, hassle of Captcha will also be reduced.

IRCTC Ticket Booking: If you often use IRCTC website to book train tickets, then there is great news for you. Let us tell you that Indian Railways has released the beta version of the new website of IRCTC. Right now it has been launched for testing so that users can use it and give their suggestions. Railways says that further improvements will be made in the website based on feedback, after which it will be completely rolled out for all passengers.

It is worth noting that the current website of IRCTC was launched in the year 2002 and today it handles an average of more than 14.5 lakh ticket bookings daily. After almost 24 years, now a major change is being made in its design and ticket booking system.

New interface and easy checkout will provide better experience

Regarding this new app, the Railway Ministry has said that the biggest change of the new website is its clean and user-friendly interface. Now there will be less unnecessary pop-ups and distracting elements on the screen, making ticket booking easier and faster than before. Apart from this, the checkout process has also been simplified. Earlier, many screens and steps had to be completed while booking tickets but now this process has been shortened which will save time.

Less hassle of Captcha

In this new website, the maximum relief is being given regarding Captcha. Now the need to fill Captcha repeatedly during ticket booking has been reduced to a great extent. This is especially expected to benefit the passengers booking Tatkal tickets. Also, now there will be no need to change options again and again to check seat availability in different classes. Users will be able to see the availability of seats for all classes on a single screen. If you regularly book tickets for the same passengers, the saved passenger information can be reused. This will eliminate the hassle of filling name, age and other details every time.

For information, let us tell you that for now it is in beta version and it has been released for feedback. In the coming time, it will also be connected to the new Passenger Reservation System (PRS) of Railways, due to which ticket booking will be faster and stable even during heavy traffic. If beta testing is successful, then soon crores of passengers will get the opportunity to use the new IRCTC portal.
