Actress Akanksha Chamola has been eliminated from the reality show Lock Up 2. In response to questions about her marriage at the post-elimination press conference, she said, “We just have to sign the papers.”
When asked if she did this for TRPs, she replied that no woman would use something as personal as her divorce for publicity or to boost a show’s ratings. She also revealed that her divorce from Gaurav is now in the final stages, with only the papers remaining to be signed.
Akanksha said, “I don’t think any girl would go on such a big platform and say she’s divorcing her husband for TRPs.” She added that she has nothing more to say to those who believe she’s using her divorce for publicity; she asked them to verify the facts themselves.
He further said, “Please come to my house, talk to my legal team.” He revealed that the legal process for divorce has been ongoing for a long time. “Our legal teams have been talking before we went into lock-up and even after we came out… It’s just, you know, we just have to sign the papers.”
Akanksha also said that she has never used her personal life for publicity. She said, “Even when we were getting married, people thought we were doing it for publicity, but that’s not the case. Just because we’re actors doesn’t mean we’re doing everything for publicity.”
It’s worth noting that the two actors dated for a while and then married on November 24, 2016. Over the past few years, the couple has frequently addressed questions about parenting. Akanksha explained that Gaurav wanted a child, but she wasn’t ready to become a mother.
