But then captain Harry Brook and Jacob Bethel made a partnership of 53 runs for the third wicket and brought their team back into the match. Brook was out, but Bethel remained at the crease and returned only after giving victory to his team. Jacob Bethel played an unbeaten inning of 76 runs in 46 balls against India, in which he hit 5 fours and 5 sixes. His strike rate was 165.22. For this brilliant performance, Bethel was chosen Player of the Match.
