Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University Establishes Learner Support Centre at Sant Darbara Singh College of Education for Women, Lopon (Moga)

As part of its commitment to expanding access to higher education, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala, established a Learner Support Centre (LSC) at Sant Darbara Singh College of Education for Women, Lopon (Moga).

The centre was inaugurated by Dr. Vinod Kumar, Regional Director, and Mr. Jasvir Singh, representing the University. The newly established LSC will provide educational opportunities to students who are unable to pursue regular studies due to personal, professional, or geographical constraints.

Through this centre, learners can enroll in the various programmes of the university while receiving academic guidance and learner support. Speaking on the occasion, the University representatives stated that the initiative reflects the University’s vision of “Education at the Doorstep” and is inspired by the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, especially the principle of “Sewa” (selfless service).

They emphasized that the University remains committed to making quality higher education accessible, affordable, and inclusive for all sections of society under the worthy leadership of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rattan Singh.

The management of Sant Darbara Singh College of Education for Women welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence that the Learner Support Centre will play a significant role in promoting lifelong learning and educational empowerment in the Moga region.
