Jaipur: CM Bhajanlal Sharma reviews Rural Livelihood Council, instructions to intensify ‘Lakhpati Didi’ campaign

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma He laid emphasis on the empowerment of rural women by holding a review meeting of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council at the Chief Minister’s Office on Friday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that making women of rural areas economically strong and self-reliant is the top priority of the government. He directed the officials to further strengthen Self Help Groups (SHGs) and provide better livelihood opportunities to women through skill development and innovations.
The Chief Minister especially laid emphasis on giving impetus to the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ campaign and said that through this initiative, effective steps should be taken towards increasing the income of rural women and making them self-reliant.
He said that it is the resolve of the government that every rural woman should get respectable employment opportunities, so that they can become economically empowered and play an active role in building ‘Developed Rajasthan’.
In the meeting, instructions were also given to the officials of the concerned departments to ensure effective implementation and continuous monitoring of the schemes.
