Deependra Conquers Everest Base Camp : Deependra Singh Hada, a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, has overcome physical disability and hoisted the Indian tricolor by reaching Everest Base Camp, considered one of the most difficult treks in the world. Despite losing his right hand in an accident at the age of seven, Deependra did not give up and set a new example with his courage and confidence.
Deependra told that the journey to Everest Base Camp was very difficult. While reaching a height of about 5,364 meters, icy winds, lack of oxygen, difficult roads and constantly changing weather presented challenges at every step. He said that it was not just a trek but also an attempt to give the message of equal opportunities and inclusivity.

Deependra told that in a tragic accident in the year 2008, his hand was badly burnt after coming in contact with a 33 thousand volt high tension line. After prolonged treatment, doctors had to amputate his hand to save his life. This struggle was very difficult in the initial days, but he decided to convert his weakness into strength.
Deependra, who studied Computer Science, was always interested in technology and adventure activities. He took part in many exciting activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, cycling, jet skiing and prepared himself for every challenge.
Deependra says that the real limitation of a person is not his disability, but the thinking of the society. If given opportunity and support, every person can achieve great goals on the basis of his ability. His achievement has become a great example of inspiration for the youth.
