External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar once again accused Pakistan in the United Nations without naming it. He said in strict terms that India has always taken a zero tolerance policy against terrorism. India will exercise its right to defend itself if no one corrects itself now. Not only that, he also warned that those who support terrorism should be held accountable.
Jaishankar stood up to speak at the United Nations Security Council and spoke out against terrorism. Targeting Pakistan without naming him, he said, “Yesterday, the country which has consistently supported terrorism, stood in this gathering and distorted the facts. They are trying to make terrorism normal and give various arguments to avoid its consequences. But this argument will not stand. If they do not correct, we will exercise the right of self-defense against terrorism. We always have a zero tolerance policy on terrorism. Terrorism is always a cause of peace. Serious threat.”

Also, implicitly pointing the finger at Pakistan, he said, “Friendship and goodwill cannot co-exist with terrorism. And any agreement based on such thinking is naturally questionable. Those who perpetrate terrorism must atone for their mistakes.” The foreign minister brought up the issue of Pahelgaon attack in his speech. India launched 'Operation Sindoor' after the April 22, 2025 Pahalgaon incident in which 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed. And in that operation Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir destroyed several terrorist infrastructures.
