The theatrical and musical production 'Our Ram'being organized as part of a Punjab Government initiative, received an enthusiastic response in Jalandhar, with a large audience attending the performance at the Shahpur campus of CT Group of Institutions.
Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha attended the second day of the Jalandhar presentation and watched the show along with the audience. Divisional Commissioner Ramveer, Amit Kumar IAS, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, DIG Jalandhar Range Navin Singla, Police Commissioner Satinder Singh, Punjab Agro Export Corporation Chairman Mangal Singh Bassi and other senior officials were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sinha praised the Punjab Government's initiative to organize such productions across the state, saying they provide people an opportunity to connect with India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage through theatre.
He described the Jalandhar staging of 'Hamare Ram' as an experience that could remain memorable for audiences, particularly with noted actors Ashutosh Rana, Rahul R Bhuchar, Tarun Khanna and other members of the production team bringing the story to life.
Sinha said the play presents the life, character, ideals and philosophy of Lord Shri Ram as depicted in the Ramayana in an engaging manner.
The Chief Secretary said the Ramayana is not merely an epic but an enduring source of knowledge and guidance for life. According to him, it teaches the values of truth, righteousness, compassion, sacrifice, duty and moral conduct.
He urged people, particularly the younger generation, to understand the deeper message of the Ramayana and seek to incorporate its values into their lives. He said the teachings associated with Lord Shri Ram inspire individuals to remain committed to their principles during difficult circumstances, respect relationships, fulfill their responsibilities and follow the path of truth and righteousness.
Sinha also appreciated the entire 'Hamare Ram' team for its performance, with special praise for Ashutosh Rana, Rahul Bhuchar and Tarun Khanna.
Audience members watched the production with enthusiasm and appreciated the Punjab Government for bringing the acclaimed theatrical presentation to Jalandhar.
