Jamie Lee Curtis recalls last meeting with Rob Reiner, wife Michele

Jamie Lee Curtis is remembering her final meeting with Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, months before the couple were killed on Dec. 14, 2025.

Curtis became emotional while recalling the encounter during an interview with Entertainment Tonight posted Sept. 25. She said their last trip together had been to Stonehenge in August, while her husband, Christopher Guest, and Reiner were filming Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale.

During the trip, Curtis took photographs of the families and later had large framed prints made. She said she brought the photographs to the Reiners’ home herself after returning.

“I took some beautiful photographs of families and Rob and Michele, particularly Robbie and Michele and my husband,” Curtis told the outlet. “And when we got back, I had a couple large beautiful prints made, both Stonehenge itself and the family pictures.”

The Academy winning star added, “And so the last time I saw them, I went to bring them to their house without my husband, these framed large pictures.”

During that visit, Curtis said the couple discussed plans to bring a group of creatives together for a project resisting the current political climate. She said she was prepared to support their efforts.

Curtis also recalled her final exchange with Michele, which centred on Curtis and Guest’s daughter, Annie Guest, the Reiners’ goddaughter. Annie was pregnant at the time, and Michele wanted to send her money through Venmo.

“I wrote back to Michele, and I said, ‘Michele, you and Robbie have always been so loving and generous to both my children. You know, Annie’s a grown woman. She’s going to have a baby very soon … You don’t have to send her anything.’”

Michele’s final text, Curtis recalled with a laugh, was: “You’re not being helpful.”
