Jan Suraj Party has announced the names of 5 candidates for the Bihar Legislative Council elections. Jan Suraj leader and Bankipur MLA Prashant Kishore announced the names of the candidates at the party office in Pataliputra Colony. He said that if the candidate supported by Jan Suraj wins then the 7th pay scale will be implemented.
The party has fielded Divya Jyoti from Patna teachers constituency, SP Rai from Darbhanga teachers constituency and Afaq Ahmed from Saran teachers constituency. Whereas in the graduate constituency, ticket has been given to Rajneesh Ranjan from Kosi graduate and Ravindra Yadav from Darbhanga graduate. Rest of the candidates from Tirhut Teacher and Graduate, Patna Graduate constituency will be announced in the next three-four days.

The condition of teachers will improve when the condition of education improves.
Prashant Kishore made a big announcement regarding teachers. He said that the teachers' fight has been going on with the system for the last several years. Be it the issue of TRE examination, the issue of pay scale, the issue of teachers' involvement in non-academic work, the mismanagement of unfunded and funded institutions, demands have been raised for a long time. The teacher community expects Jan Suraj to stand up for their legitimate demands or to help their movement.
The teacher community itself is divided into many unions. Some are employed teachers, school teachers, special teachers, some are unfunded teachers, all have formed their own organizations. Prashant Kishore said that we have a feeling that the condition of teachers will improve when the condition of education in Bihar improves. During this time, after meeting and talking to many teachers, it has been decided that a struggle committee will be formed by bringing all the teacher organizations together and they have 3 major demands, on which Jan Suraj will work together with teacher colleagues for the coming 2-3 years.

Prashant Kishore made a big announcement regarding three major demands of teachers. They said that-
The first demand is to implement the 7th pay scale.
– The second demand is to accommodate unfunded, funded teachers in the category of teachers.
Third demand: Standards should be set for teachers when they are employed in non-academic work.
He said that these three demands will not be the demands of teachers, but the demands of Jan Suraj. Jan Suraj will fight their battle. In any case, before the Lok Sabha elections, these three demands will be made acceptable to the government and will be given to you.
Prashant Kishore said that in Bihar, teachers are employed in many types of non-academic work. Teachers are employed in census, election duty, BLO work, various types of surveys, due to which studies are disrupted. There should be a standard set for what work teachers will be employed in and what not.
He said that injustice has been happening to unfunded and funded teachers for years. He has not been kept in the category of teacher. Jan Suraj will fight to bring all these teachers into the mainstream.

Promise to provide jobs to thousands of unemployed in graduate sector
Prashant Kishore also made a big announcement for the voters of the graduate constituency. He said that I am appealing to all my educated graduate voters that you are educated graduates in the Legislative Council elections being held. The announcement that we have made for the youth of Bankipur after winning the elections, if Jan Suraj's candidate from your graduate constituency wins and reaches the Legislative Council, then I assure you that under the announcement that I have made about giving 10 thousand jobs to the educated unemployed voters of Bankipur, 10-10 thousand unemployed youth will also be given jobs in every graduate constituency.
