In the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the rhetoric regarding caste equations has intensified before the assembly elections. In the Rashtriya Lok Dal conference in the capital Lucknow, the party's national president and Union Cabinet Minister Jayant Chaudhary made a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. Without taking names, Jayant said that some people look at every fight and dispute through a political lens and try to make political gains.
Taking aim at the politics of PDA, he said that this is not PDA, but 'pain' and frustration. Citing the legacy of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Jayant said that he should move beyond caste politics and keep the issues of farmers, youth, traders, entrepreneurs, cottage industries and teachers at the center of electoral politics.
Charan Singh taught to respect every class
Addressing the felicitation ceremony organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Jayant Chaudhary said that Chaudhary Charan Singh taught him to respect every section of the society. He said that Chaudhary Saheb was against casteism and wanted to advance the weaker section. Jayant said that it is about ego, corruption, theft and fraud. This is their ABCD. He said that Chaudhary Charan Singh taught him to respect everyone and to take every section of the society along.
'It is difficult to follow Chaudhary Saheb's footsteps'
Jayant Chaudhary said that many political parties formed their organizations in the name of Chaudhary Charan Singh and used his name in elections. He said that he does not consider it wrong, but it is easy to portray Chaudhary Saheb, whereas it is very difficult to follow the path shown by him. He said that Chaudhary Charan Singh worked to advance the weaker sections of the society and prepared many leaders.

Target on Akhilesh- 'The person in front is adopting every trick'
Jayant also targeted SP's politics. He said that the opposition is adopting every tactic and politics is being limited to caste lines. He said that instead of caste, issues like youth, farmers, traders, entrepreneurs, cottage industries and teachers should be discussed in the elections. Jayant said that now is not the time to remain calm.
He appealed to the workers to strengthen the organization and bring forward youth with new thinking. Pointing towards Akhilesh Yadav, Jayant Chaudhary said that if someone says that we have taught you, then it is not so. He said that Chaudhary Charan Singh has taught him. He claimed that the public will answer for this in the elections. Meanwhile, he took a dig at PDA and said that it is not PDA but pain and frustration.
Jayant also spoke on Gen G and Gen Alpha
Jayant also talked about the changing generation and the role of youth in the organization. He said that there is Gen G, Gen Alpha and he himself is Gen X. He appealed to the old workers to give place to the youth in the organization and support them. He said that the old workers cannot have as much understanding of the ideology and struggle of Chaudhary Charan Singh as the people of the new generation. Therefore, old workers should tell the story of struggle to the youth.
RLD targets Brahmin voters
RLD, known for Jat politics in western Uttar Pradesh, gave the message of its political expansion by organizing a conference in Lucknow. The party is now trying to move beyond Western Uttar Pradesh and strengthen its hold in Central and Eastern Uttar Pradesh as well. RLD working president Anupam Mishra said that no government will be formed in Uttar Pradesh without RLD. He claimed that the party's influence would not be limited to western Uttar Pradesh. Party's Central Parliamentary Board member Anil Dubey also said that RLD is expanding and the party is establishing its foothold in Purvanchal also.
BK Shukla said- 'The real Chaudhary has come to the state'
RLD's BK Shukla also targeted SP in the conference. He said that those commenting on RLD should understand that the 'real Chaudhary' has arrived in the state. Raising the issue of the problems of private colleges in the state, he said that there are a large number of private colleges in Uttar Pradesh and the unfunded colleges do not get adequate help from the government. He requested Jayant Chaudhary to meet the Chief Minister and make arrangements for honorarium for these institutions.

BrahMos and ITI were also mentioned
Jayant Chaudhary also mentioned defense sector and employment in his address. He said that BrahMos missiles will be manufactured in the Defense Corridor in the coming years. Along with this, work will also be done on skill development for employment in the defense sector. He said that for the first time work is being done towards the renovation of ITI and a big budget has been kept for it.
Through this conference in Lucknow, RLD has tried to give several political messages simultaneously. On one hand, Jayant Chaudhary attacked the politics of Akhilesh Yadav and PDA, while on the other hand, the party indicated to move beyond the Jat politics of Western Uttar Pradesh and increase its reach among other social classes including Brahmins. In such a situation, everyone will be keeping an eye on how much impact this strategy of RLD has on the changing political equations of the state before the assembly elections.
