Tragic accident in Faridabad, heavy crane overturned on Jewar Airport flyover; 3 people died

City Accident: A terrible accident has come to light on Thursday afternoon at the construction site of a big project related to Jewar Airport connectivity in Faridabad, Haryana. Here, during the ongoing flyover construction work near Panhera Khurd village, a giant crane suddenly went out of control and overturned. After this accident, there was an outcry in the entire area and an atmosphere of chaos was created at the construction site.

It is being told that 3 people have died due to the overturning of the crane. Apart from this, many laborers are also badly buried under it. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local administration and relief teams immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation.

Accident happened as soon as work started after heavy rain

According to the initial information received regarding the incident, there was heavy rain in this entire area shortly before the accident. Due to heavy rains, the soil around the construction site had become completely wet and the slippage had increased with heavy mud. As soon as the rain stopped, the construction company employees restarted the work. When the workers were preparing to lift the heavy girder of the flyover, the balance of the crane suddenly got completely disturbed. As soon as the giant machine lost its balance, it overturned to one side.

There is great fear that many laborers may be buried under the debris.

Eyewitnesses told that when this accident happened, about six to seven workers were engaged in work right around the crane. As soon as the crane overturned, the workers present there did not even get a chance to recover. It is feared that three to four workers are buried under the heavy machinery and debris. On seeing the accident, other employees working there and nearby villagers started rescue operations without wasting time. People immediately informed the police and district administration about this.

Rescue operation continues

As soon as the news of the accident was received, police forces and administrative officials immediately reached the spot. Other heavy machines and cutters have been arranged to rescue the people buried under the crane. The relief and rescue team, with the help of local people, has taken out some laborers after a lot of effort. The injured rescued from the debris were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital, where they are undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors. According to doctors, the condition of some laborers remains very critical.

Soft and marshy soil became the main reason for the accident

Administrative officials say that prima facie heavy rains are believed to be the cause of the accident. Due to the rain the land there had become very soft and marshy. When the crane lifted the heavy weight of the girder, the soil beneath the wheels suddenly caved in and the crane overturned. At present, this construction work has been completely stopped and the administration teams are busy ensuring the safety of each and every worker. Officials say that the exact number of injured can be officially confirmed only after the rescue is completed.
