Flag hoisted in NEET without spending a single rupee, this scheme of Jharkhand changed the fate of children

Jharkhand Akanksha Scheme: The ambitious state level aspiration scheme of Jharkhand government has once again proved that if given the right opportunity and right guidance, talent needs no introduction. 17 students of this free residential coaching run by the Department of School Education and Literacy have achieved great success in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET 2026. These children have made it to the country’s toughest medical entrance examination with very good percentile. This historic success has given rise to a new hope of success for the meritorious students studying in government schools and coming from economically weak families.

What is Akanksha Scheme and how is its destiny changing?

This ambitious scheme was started by the state government in the year 2016-17. The main objective of this scheme is to give an opportunity to the promising students who have passed the matriculation examination from Jharkhand Academic Council i.e. Jack Board. Under the scheme, meritorious children are selected every year and they are made to prepare for medical, engineering as well as other competitive examinations. These children get free residential facilities, excellent food, necessary books for studies and complete guidance from experienced teachers from the government. This is the reason why every year the children who graduate from this scheme are showing success in national level examinations.

The promising ones made headlines and increased the prestige of the state.

Anjali Mahato has performed the best among the students who have succeeded in the NEET exam this year. Anjali has secured 4029th rank in the entire country by securing 99.79 percentile. Himanshu Raj also proved his talent and secured All India 7669th position with 99.60 percentile. Apart from these two, Jitu Yadav, Rohan Kujur, Nitesh Kumar Mahato, Sejal Raj Chandra, Kajal Kumari, Kiran Kumari, Khushi Kumari, Khushboo Kumari, Reet Kumar Thakur, Amar Murmu, Suryakant Oraon, Srishti Kumari, Vivek Kumar Mandal, Vinod Chik Baraik and Mamta Kumari have also made their parents and the entire state proud by passing the examination.

Becoming a doctor without spending lakhs

In today’s time, where parents have to spend lakhs of rupees to prepare for the medical entrance examination in big and private coaching institutes, the Akanksha Scheme of the Jharkhand government is proving to be a boon for these children. Students studying under this scheme are given complete arrangements for accommodation, food and coaching free of cost. Due to this, children from the most backward and poor families of the society are also getting equal opportunity to move ahead like rich children and become doctors and engineers.

He said that this success of the students of Akanksha Yojana is a matter of great pride for the entire state. He has given all the best wishes to all the successful students for their bright future. The director also said that this scheme is really emerging as the strongest medium to give wings to the dreams of economically weak but bright children in studies and turn them into reality.
