Jharkhand High Court gave a major decision, stayed the JSSC CGL recruitment order

Amid the ongoing controversy over the recruitment exams in Jharkhand, the selected candidates of JSSC CGL have got a major relief from the Jharkhand High Court. After JPSC, the court has now stayed the state government’s decision to cancel the JSSC CGL exam. After this order of the High Court, the immediate threat to the appointment and jobs of 1,932 candidates selected through the examination has been largely averted for now. After the government’s decision to cancel the exam, there was confusion among the candidates who got the appointment after clearing the competitive exam. Many selected candidates are also serving in various government departments. In such a situation, questions were raised as to what would happen to his appointment if the examination was cancelled.

The state government had decided to cancel several exams, including the JSSC CGL, based on the alleged irregularities in the recruitment exams and the findings of the investigation. Candidates selected for the CGL examination appealed against this decision in the High Court.

The primary contention made by the candidates in the petition was that if there is any malpractice at any stage of the examination, an inquiry should be conducted to identify those involved. Legal action can be taken against the culprits, but cancellation of the entire examination and selection process will have a negative impact on the future of the candidates who have successfully cleared the examination. The candidates also argued that they had no role in the selection process. Therefore, it would be unfair to hold all the successful candidates responsible for any alleged irregularities.

After the JSSC CGL results, a total of 1,932 candidates were selected. Many of these candidates have received appointment letters and are working in various government departments. Following the government’s decision to cancel the exam, the biggest question facing these candidates was their appointments and future. Had the examination itself been considered cancelled, the selection process and the validity of appointments based on it would have been affected. The stay of the High Court has given relief to the selected candidates. However, the final decision in the case is still pending, and the court will consider the entire controversy in detail in the next hearing.
