The low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-North Odisha coast has now transformed into a well-marked low pressure area. Due to its effect, the rainy season is likely to continue in many parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert in 6 districts and yellow alert in 10 districts.
Monsoon will remain active due to the effect of low pressure
Monsoon activities have once again intensified in Jharkhand. The low pressure area over the northwestern part of the Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-North Odisha coast has now transformed into a well-marked low pressure area.
Due to the impact of this weather system, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of Jharkhand. Due to monsoon being active for the next few days, the weather patterns may remain changed in different districts of the state.
Along with rain, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds in many areas. In such a situation, people need to be careful during bad weather.
Orange alert in 6 districts and yellow alert in 10
The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert in 6 districts of Jharkhand. There is a possibility of bad weather and heavy rain like situation in these districts.
At the same time, yellow alert has been issued for 10 districts of the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds along with rain in these areas also.
The weather may suddenly deteriorate in Orange Alert areas. Therefore, people have been advised to pay attention to the warnings of the Meteorological Department and come out of the house only when necessary.
Danger of strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms
Due to the effect of low pressure area, strong winds along with thunderstorms may occur at many places. There is a need to stay away from trees, electric poles and weak structures during a storm.
One should avoid standing in open fields, under trees and around electric poles during lightning. People living in rural and agricultural areas will also have to take extra precautions considering the weather conditions.

Due to the influence of the weather system, rainfall activities are likely to continue in Jharkhand further. There may be intermittent rain in different parts of the state.
