Is Vaibhav Suryavanshi ‘Unprofessional’? Jitesh Sharma broke his silence, said – He talks to my wife…

Jitesh Sharma has given clarification on his ‘unprofessional’ statement regarding Rajasthan Royals’ young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper batsman said that his statement was misinterpreted and his intention was not to criticize the 15 year old batsman. This statement came into limelight when Jitesh made this comment about Vaibhav during a conversation on the YouTube channel of former RCB star AB de Villiers. After this, many people on social media saw it as a question on the professional thinking of the young batsman.

Later, while talking on RCB Podcast, Jitesh told the truth of the whole matter and said that his statement was because of his close friendship with Vaibhav. “He’s a very good friend of mine. We’re very close and I can tell him anything.” Jitesh told that when AB de Villiers asked him which young player can become a big star for India in the future, he immediately took the name of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. “I told AB that Vaibhav has the technique, mentality and ability to work hard. He can become a big player for India in all three formats. On the field he looks very professional, but off the field he is still a normal kid.”

Jitesh also told about Vaibhav’s off-field nature and said that he is like other children. “He is a 15-year-old kid who loves ice cream. He comes to my room and eats ice cream with me. He comes to my house, talks to my wife and watches YouTube videos. We are very close, he is like my little brother.”

Jitesh appealed to the people not to put excessive pressure on Vaibhav and let him live his childhood. “People expect him to be very professional because he is playing at this level, but he is just 15 years old. Let the kid be a kid. I tell him to watch TV, eat whatever he wants and just focus on his batting.”
