Jitu Munda, who brought sister’s skeleton, has a big heart, now forgives bank officials

50-year-old Jitu Munda, who was forced to carry his sister’s skeleton to withdraw money from her bank account in Odisha’s Keonjhar, on Sunday said he does not want any action against the bank officials. He had earlier said that the bank was harassing him to pay the money.

 

Jitu Munda had gone to Odisha Gramin Bank in Keonjhar district to withdraw money from his account, carrying his sister’s skeleton as proof of her death. There was an uproar after the video of this case went viral. People were stunned to see this shocking video and pictures on social media.

‘I’ve got the money’

Munda, a resident of Dianali village in Patna block of Keonjhar district, said, ‘After taking my sister’s skeleton to the bank, I got the money deposited in her name. The bank got the proof of my sister’s death and immediately released the amount. It is true that they harassed me, but after getting the money I do not want any action against them. He came to my house and gave me cash.

‘I haven’t done anything wrong’

He said, ‘What is the use of taking action against the officials after receiving the money? If I had not brought the skeleton to the bank, they would not have given our family money deposited in the name of my deceased sister. I have not done anything wrong.

 

Jitu Munda further said, ‘Now people say that it was a mistake to dig up the remains of a dead person, but I had no choice but to do so because the bank officials wanted the thumb impression of my sister, who had died three months ago.’
