Range Rover becomes very cheap: JLR India cuts prices by up to ₹ 75 lakh, know how much is the price now
Range Rover Price Cut: Luxury car manufacturer JLR India (Jaguar Land Rover) has created a stir in the Indian automobile market by announcing a huge reduction in the prices of its selected models. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the revised duty structure under the potential Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the UK. The company has revised the prices of Range Rover models imported from the UK (CBU), which will directly benefit customers worth lakhs of rupees.
Range Rover SV now cheaper by Rs 75 lakh
The biggest impact of this change in prices has been on the Range Rover SV model. The company has reduced its ex-showroom price from ₹4.25 crore to ₹3.50 crore. This means that now customers will get this car for Rs 75 lakh less than before. Not only this, to enhance its attractiveness the company has now included ‘SV Ultra Metallic’ paints as a standard feature.
Range Rover Sport SV prices also fell
To strengthen its hold in the luxury segment, JLR has also made a big cut in the prices of Range Rover Sport SV. The price of this model has been reduced from ₹ 2.75 crore to ₹ 2.35 crore (ex-showroom). This price reduction of Rs 40 lakh is a big gift for the lovers of premium performance SUVs.
There is no change in the prices of these models
The company has clarified that this reduction is only for CBU models imported directly from the UK. There will be no impact on the prices of models which are manufactured indigenously in India. These include the following models:
- Range Rover (Local Production)
- Range Rover Sport
- Range Rover Evoque and Velar
- Discovery Sport
Apart from this, the prices of Defender and Discovery models will also remain stable. The reason for this is that they are not manufactured in the UK but in Slovakia (Europe), which does not come under the purview of the India-UK FTA.
