The Combat is based on the Jettur T2 sold overseas, and is likely to come in a plug-in hybrid i.e. PHEV avatar in India. This SUV can cost more than ₹30 lakh.
Emphasis on premium features
The cabin of the Combat is likely to get a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It can offer features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker audio system, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof. The front seats are also likely to get electric adjustment and ventilation. So it seems that this SUV is being made keeping in mind the premium customers.

Design and PHEV powertrain
Similar to the Jettur T2 in terms of design, the Combat is likely to get a boxy and rugged SUV look. LED headlamps, roof rails and 20-inch alloy wheels will add to its appeal. The SUV will be based on a monocoque platform. The powertrain can be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine with 2 electric motors. It is likely to get an 18.4 kWh battery pack and an electric-only range of around 90 km.

The global market JetTour T2 PHEV uses a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. This model gets around 360 hp of power and 610 Nm of torque. Almost similar performance can be achieved in combat in India. It is likely to get a 360-degree camera, 540-degree view, adaptive cruise control and other driver assistance features.
