Jubin Nautiyal's father said goodbye to BJP, joined Congress and said – felt insulted

New Delhi: Famous singer Jubin Nautiyal's father and former BJP leader Ramsharan Nautiyal joined Congress on Monday. Uttarakhand in-charge Kumari Selja got him membership of the party at the Congress headquarters in Delhi. During this, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, State President Ganesh Godiyal and Chakrata MLA Pritam Singh were also present. Ramsharan Nautiyal had resigned from BJP a few days ago. He accused the party of not giving respect and publicly insulting him.

Stayed in BJP for 12 years, now told the reason for leaving

Ramsharan Nautiyal was associated with BJP for the last 12 years. On the reason for leaving the party, he said that no person easily leaves the place where he has worked for so many years. He said, "Wherever a person works, he should be respected. If respect is not given then distance is created." He told that he did not submit his resignation personally, but sent it through a stenographer. His anger was coming out openly since last month.

There was tension with state president Mahendra Bhatt

For leaving BJP, he had directly mentioned the dispute with State President Mahendra Bhatt. Nautiyal had said that the reason for his leaving the party should be asked to the state president only. He said that if the party will run on the instructions of two-three people, then complaints will also be made to the leadership. He said that common courtesy is to treat every person with respect, but he did not get such respect.

'Insulted on the platforms'

Ramsharan Nautiyal alleged that he had to be humiliated on public platforms. He said, "I never asked for anything from the government for myself. I always kept raising demands for my area. Some demands were fulfilled, some were not, but my own people kept opposing everything. When I have not asked for anything for myself, then why should I bear the insult?"

Now after joining Congress, political discussions have intensified. It is believed that his joining Congress before the upcoming elections in Uttarakhand can be important for the party.
