According to calciomercato.com, the situation is something of a paradox: Juventus have yet to concede in pre-season, keeping clean sheets against the likes of Basel, Nice, Standard Liège and Chelsea, yet still lack a settled first-choice goalkeeper.
Michele Di Gregorio has been deemed surplus by Luciano Spalletti, who has voiced doubts over Guglielmo Vicario, wondering aloud why Tottenham would let him go, while expressing a clear preference for Suzuki, who is himself being courted by PSG.

Landing Suzuki, though, looks to depend on a specific sequence. Juventus would first need PSG to agree a deal with Parma, then negotiate a loan of the Japanese with the French club, a temporary solution that would suit all parties, including a player unconvinced about committing permanently to Paris given the competition there.
The parallel option of Lucas Chevalier, discussed alongside the Kolo Muani negotiations, has cooled.
Atubolu, by contrast, is a genuinely enticing possibility.
The goalkeeper, a Europa League finalist last season and a noted penalty-stopper, is out of contract and, according to Fabrizio Romano, has put every option other than Juventus on hold, hoping an opening in Turin emerges. For now he remains an alternative rather than the priority, but one Juventus are keeping firmly in view.
