Somi Ali expressed her support for Govinda by sharing a collage of old pictures with him on Instagram. He described Govinda as one of the most talented and humble artists of the Hindi film industry. Somi said that she knows Govinda both personally and professionally and can talk about him on the basis of her experience.

Chichi is one of the biggest talents in the Hindi film industry and he is one of the most humble actors I have met in my time in the industry. I respect both Chichi and Sunita a lot.
Somi argued that an actor should not be targeted or made fun of for working with a younger actor. He wrote, “However, there is no age discrimination in an actor accepting a role with a younger actress. There is no time limit on talent. At a time when work is hard to come by, choosing to keep working is an honor, not a joke. An actor’s value is not determined by his age or the age of his co-stars. Somi also argued that no controversy regarding age should be raised against Govinda, who is just trying to earn his living.
