Ketan Aggarwal death case: CCTV footage suspects conspiracy, man in hoodie becomes center of investigation

Pune: There has been a new twist in the investigation into the death of Ketan Vishal Agarwal in Lohagarh Fort, Pune. The police have found many shocking clues, which have deepened the suspicion of conspiracy. CCTV footage, family statement and technical evidence have raised big questions on Ketan’s death. According to investigators, important information was obtained during the interrogation of the family. This helped in understanding Ketan’s nature.

The family told that Ketan was very alert   

The family told the police that Ketan was very careful. He did not take unnecessary risks. Even while trekking, he used to maintain a distance of 10 to 20 feet from others. Was always alert on difficult paths.

Even during the Goa trip, he had refused to swim in the sea. In such a situation, investigators are wondering whether he would go to a dangerous place on the edge of the cliff on his own. Ketan’s two uncles spent about five hours with the police. He told about Ketan’s habits and thinking. However, the family did not raise direct suspicion on anyone.

Why did I go to Lohagarh thrice in 18 days?   

The big question for the investigators was why Ketan went to Lohagarh Fort three times in 18 days. To find the answer, the police searched the CCTV footage from June 18. Initially nothing seemed strange in the recording from 9 am to 1 pm on June 21. But while finishing the footage, a young man wearing a hoodie and headphones was seen.

Suspicion on man wearing hoodie in 33 degree heat   

When the police looked at the weather records, the temperature that day was around 33 degrees. It felt strange wearing a hoodie in this heat. After watching the footage again, it was found that the person came running up the hill. As soon as he saw Ketan and Siya, he stopped and sat near them.

Investigation revealed that he gestured with his hand and Siya also responded. Siya was looking back again and again before he came. Police believe that the two talked through gestures.

Confusion increased due to bad CCTV and ticket delay   

Many CCTV cameras of the fort were out of order because of the monkeys. Due to this, footage of some parts was not available. Due to poor mobile network, Ketan was not able to buy the ticket. During this time, the person in the hoodie stayed nearby and later went up without a ticket.

Suspecting a conspiracy, police are investigating   

The police’s suspicion increased after seeing the incident site. The family told that on June 4, Ketan was stopped from going to the fort. But on June 14, when Siya was upset, permission was given. On June 17, Ketan told that Sia’s friend has planned a surprise for June 18.

Police suspect that the plan was made even before reaching the fort. It is alleged that Siya had to pretend to be tired at the designated place. This was a reference to a person named Chetan. It is claimed that as soon as Siya sat down, Ketan stopped and Chetan pushed him. The police have not yet given final confirmation. Investigation is ongoing.
