Ketan Aggarwal Murder Case: Sia and Chetan given 14 days judicial custody, police found important evidence of murder – ..

While giving a major verdict in the murder case of Pune’s famous businessman Ketan Aggarwal, the court has sent the main accused Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary to judicial custody for 14 days. The police had demanded to extend the remand of both, which was rejected by the court. The accused of murder of 25-year-old Ketan are his fiancee Siya and her lover Chetan. Ketan and Siya were going to get married in November, but on June 18, Ketan’s life was taken by being pushed from a rock of Lohagarh Fort.

Witnesses found at the scene, police did not insist on polygraph

Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill informed that the investigation is now at a crucial juncture. This time the police have not demanded a polygraph test, because they have solid evidence to prove the case. The biggest success achieved in the investigation is that some eyewitnesses present at the spot at the time of the incident have come forward, whose statements are being recorded. Police say that now they do not need any more evidence or remand as there is enough basis to confirm the murder.

The murder conspiracy was hatched in code word

The prosecution told the court that the data recovered from the phones of the accused was shocking. Siya and Chetan had done complete planning before the murder and had communicated with each other using code language, nicknames and emojis. Police have recovered another new mobile phone of Sia, which has been sent for forensic examination. Government lawyer Rajshree Virkud also told the court that the Panchnama has also been conducted at the place where the accused had ‘rehearsed’ to push Ketan and where his passport was kept.

Lawyers of the accused gave a tough challenge

During the hearing, the lawyers of both the accused strongly opposed the remand application of the police. Sia’s lawyer Vipul Dushing said that the police have already seized all the electronic devices and the accused are fully cooperating in the investigation. At the same time, Chetan’s lawyer raised questions on the functioning of the police and said that the investigating agency is only speculating on the basis of possibilities instead of concrete evidence. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, Magistrate AM Vibhute reserved his decision and sent both of them to judicial custody till July 16.
