Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif: Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has created a stir in the whole world with one of his statements. In fact, he said during an interview that we Pakistani Muslims are filled with hatred towards our Hindu ancestors. Furthermore, he said that half of Pakistan’s population falsely claims that their ancestors came from Saudi Arabia or Iran. He stressed that this thinking was deliberately created so that the new generation of Pakistan gets cut off from its civilizational identity.

What did Khawaja Asif say?

Questioning what is written in history books, Khawaja Asif said that Hindu rulers have been almost completely erased from the historical narrative of Pakistan. He said that we have removed Chandragupta Maurya and Ashoka from our history books just because they were Hindus. Apart from this, he further said that my ancestors were Hindus. Then he asked in a questioning manner whether this makes me less Pakistani. According to Asif, the books taught in Pakistan were written by people who wanted to mold the coming generations into a particular way of thinking.

Khawaja Asif argued that the thinking of the society was changed and then history was also presented accordingly, so that Pakistan could be used in America’s military conflicts.
